The Analysis on the Problems and Possible Reasons in English Writing of English Major Students in Tongren University

摘要:The English learners and teachers both have some difficulties in English writing learning and teaching despite continuous efforts are put by teachers and students to develop their competence in L2 writing,most students still score much lower in writing part than listening and reading parts in various English level tests.Three main sections are included in the paper: The first section surveys the students’ main problems in English writing learning with my analysis of its possible factors from the respects of students and teachers,such as students’ motivation,teacher’s education and approaches to teaching writing in L2 classes.The second section presents a review of how the relevant literature suggests on the students’ problems in writing.Accordingly,I put forward several possible solutions as the attempts to change the problematic situation in L2 writing.

摘要:Needs analysis is an important link in the process of course designs,and it is the important basis for teachers to organize teaching and evaluate teaching results.Based on the theory of needs analysis,taking questionnaire method,choosing 100 non-English majors of Dongchang College of Liaocheng University as research objects,the thesis investigates the current situation of English learning and teaching.

摘要:This paper,via the study of sample writings of English majors in China,discovers the common linguistic problem- the absence of inanimate sentences,and tries to suggest effective ways to construct inanimate sentences in order to achieve objectivity,expressiveness and vividness which are characterized by inanimate sentences.

摘要:The introduction and development of schema models plays a significant role in second language reading.It has a profound impact on the field.Of course,schema approach has its own aspects that it is good at dealing with. 大学生英语读写学习现状分析

摘要:英语阅读和写作是英语专业学生需掌握的两项基本语言技能,读和写是紧密联系、密不可分的。英语教学中应将两者有效地结合起来,培养和提高学生的英语综合应用能力。本文基于对吉林华桥外国语学院双语学院14级学生的调查,对大学生英语读写学习现状进行分析,指出了学生在阅读和写作方面存在的普遍问题并提出相应的解决措施。希望此研究能帮助改善大学英语读写课堂教学,促进提高学生英语读写能力。
